Vegetarian Dog?
dog can be given a vegetarian diet, although this is not a vegan animal by nature – dogs are omnivores. These animals belong to the class carnivores, this does not mean anything, the panda is almost vegan also classified class.
Diet without meat is not only CAN be given to most dogs, but SHOULD be given. Buying a pet food “normal” is supporting the same meat industry, complete with cruelty, exploitation, waste, and environmental damage, which opposed by veganism.
Why horse / cow / chicken / duck or whatever must suffer and die every year just for your dog?
This is not about “imposing our beliefs” to pets because you do not force them to eat and you do not stop to eat the local wildlife when they get around in your neighborhood.
Also, animals have no morals or beliefs. They do whatever it takes to survive, with no preference regarding the consequences to other things. We can make moral decisions / ethical – such as the decision to become a vegan.
In the wild, surviving may mean “kill something, or die of hunger,” but if your pet was fed, it becomes unnecessary. It is no more unnatural for a dog to eat a vegan diet than other foods.
First, the domestic dog has little in common with the wild brother, we have been in an artificial situation. Second, feeding from cans (compared to let him find his own food) is also not natural, so you can do best. Third, the contents of the canned pet food is not the same as what a dog would eat in the wild … get your beloved doggy imagine killing horses and cows and dive into the ocean for tuna fishing?
